I was always a person who wanted to believe in the US justice system. But with the cases surrounding Michael Vick, Donte Stallworth, Plaxico Burress, it makes it hard to do so. Now, I just found out that Donte Stallworth gets 30 days in jail for being clearly under the influence while driving and striking and killing a pedestrian. GET THE FUCK OUT OF HERE!!!! Plaxico Burress can't even get a job in the NFL for shooting himself. I don't know about you, but if I'm an NFL owner I would rather my players carry a pistol for protecyion than drive around the city drunk killing innocent people. 30 days...YOU CAN"T BE SERIOUS. Let's break down every case here starting with Plax. Okay...he had an unregistered gun in NY(illegal) and shot himself. Who is the victim? Plaxico Burress is the victom. Could innocent people POTENTIALLY get hurt? Sure, I'm not going to lie. Was he wrong? Sure, it's breaking the law. Should he do 2 years in jail? Only if Stallworth does the 15 years he faced. Let's keep it consistant. Now...let's move on to Mike Vick. Was what he did brutal? Of course. Should he have done 2 years? No, because Stallworth is only doing 30 days. I hate to pull the race card with this but it's hard not to. You're talking about a guy changing the way football is supposed to be played. He had a bullseye since the first day he was in the leauge(1st black QB drafted #1). Played a position dominated by whites and every since he had success every team in the leauge was looking for the next Vick. We're talking about the highest played player ever in NFL history again at the QB position. A position a black person is not smart enough to play. Steve Young got a pass his first couple years but if Vince Young or Vick don't win a Super Bowl by year 4 they are considered a bust because "they can't play in the pocket and they use their legs too much." Anyway enough with that back to the legal matters, Vick was crucified for fighting dogs. They act like he raped Author Blanks wife then tortured and killed his offensive line. He fought some dogs and if that equals two years...Donte Stallworth should do the 15. Now lets get on Stallworth. 30 days, 10 years probation and the family gets some money. We're talking about a human life that you cannot replace being taking away by someone driving drunk. If he was sober it might be different, but I don't have any tollerence for a drunk driver. Who was the victim? Not himself, not a dog, but 59-year-old Mario Reyes a family man, a loving husband and father. He wasn't POTENTIALLY HURT...he was murdered...by a drunk driver. I could keep going on this topic, you might see a post in a couple of days from me about this because it's so much I have to say but I am going to end it here. FIN...
